December 29, 2005 - Grantham Education Corporation announced today that J. Patrick Campbell will serve as the corporation's President and Chief Operating Officer. Campbell will manage the continuing growth of Grantham Education Corporation and its subsidiary, Grantham University. He will oversee daily business activities, take part in long term strategic planning for the company, and serve on the corporation's board of directors.

"Pat's varied management experience gives him the perspective necessary to work effectively at all levels of our organization. His regulatory and operations related experience combined with his proven ability to execute a strategic plan will make him an asset to our team as we position the company for future growth," said Tom Macon, Chairman and CEO of Grantham Education Corporation.

Prior to accepting a position with Grantham, Mr. Campbell acted as a consultant to financial institutions and a variety of corporate entities, in addition to serving as Chairman of the Board for Digital Focus. Mr. Campbell also serves on the boards of various corporations. Campbell retired as the President of Nasdaq U.S. Markets in December 2001. From January 1997 to December 2001, he held various executive positions at The Nasdaq Stock Market including Chief Operating Officer for Nasdaq Inc. and Chairman of Nasdaq Investment Products. Prior to joining Nasdaq, Campbell worked as a Senior Executive Vice President for The Ohio Company from 1971 to 1996, and served as a member of their Board of Directors from 1991 to 1996.

Campbell retired from the Air National Guard in 1992 as a Major for the United States Air Force, where he received numerous awards and medals including the Bronze Star and three Air Medals.
