Library Resources: General Reference

The Library Resource Center contains links to databases, search engines, and reference guides that can assist students in researching topics, troubleshooting grammar and usage issues, and writing quality projects that are publishable and meet source citing and copyright requirements.

Grantham's Library Database Center

Grantham provides three library resource databases for student use from the student login. Grantham's Library Resources are available at no additional cost to students:

  • Ebrary - a book database that includes over 33,000 authoritative book titles from reputable publishers.
  • EBSCO - a journal database that includes over 2,500 reputable journals, many in PDF format, representing more than 2,000 scholarly journals in a range of disciplines, including psychology, criminal justice, engineering, computer science, sociology, and humanities. EBSCO also has five other databases to assist with research: Academic Search Elite, Business Source Elite, Regional Business News, Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts (LISTA), and Teacher Reference Center.
  • BIR - a book index review database that contains over 800,000 full-text searchable reviews from trustworthy sources: Library Journal, School Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, CHOICE, and others.
