Engineering Management Technology integrates the broader issues of business with the fundamentals and challenges of technological development and change. The program is designed for the working adult who anticipates or desires increasing roles of managerial responsibility within a technical environment.  The technology core is comprised of ten (10) courses in electronic engineering, computer engineering, and computer science.  Nine (9) business courses in accounting, finance, management, and entrepreneurship provide the business core.  Electives allow for additional depth in business, computer science, or engineering.
The Engineering Management Technology programs enable students to demonstrate the following discipline-specific attributes by the time of graduation:

The Engineering Management Technology program enables students to:

  2. An ability to communicate effectively;
  3. A recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in, lifelong learning;
  4. An ability to understand professional, ethical and social responsibilities;
  5. A respect for diversity and a knowledge of contemporary professional, societal and global issues;

  7. An appropriate mastery of the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of their disciplines;
  8. An ability to apply current knowledge and adapt to emerging applications of mathematics, science, engineering and technology;
  9. An ability to conduct, analyze and interpret experiments and apply experimental results to improve processes;
  10. An ability to apply creativity in the design of systems, components or processes appropriate to program objectives; and
  11. An ability to identify, analyze and solve technical problems.
